You may have heard of the term ”search engine optimisation” or SEO. A lot of web developers charge for this service. Optimisation can mean a number of things including paying for a third party to submit your website to premium services offered by search engine companies so that you get listed.

However, you can get high up the listings by understanding how search engines work and building your website accordingly. This is what I do. Obviously if you pay Google to list your site then it will get listed high up. In my experience, a little know-how can get you listed pretty well without paying extra.
